CAN WE LAUGH NOW?

I find it difficult, if not impossible, to believe that anyone can get through any given day in our society without a sense of humor. Granted, on the surface there do seem to be fewer current events that can inspire a giggle.

    As Yogi Berra said, “It ain’t over till it’s over.” Right now it looks like earthlings are just about to follow the dinasours into extinction in nuclear world war 3 and its aftermath nuclear winter then ultraviolet summer. However it isn’t over till it’s over. Just ask Morgan Pressel.

    As we review history, we notice an enormous number of unlikable people. The really disturbing fact is that so many of history’s truly unlikable people seem to have decided to park themselves within our lifetimes.

    Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. The honeymoon and divorce court are two sides of the same coin. The examples are countless in politics and in love. One minute Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead are lovebirds making a beautiful baby girl and the next minute they are emailing each other calling each other Satan. One minute Virgie Arthur and her daughter Anna Nicole Smith are hugging and kissing and going to get their nails done and the next minute Anna Nicole Smith is spitting venom at her mother Virgie Arthur calling her “Mommy Dearest”. It’s like players in the NHL on the same team one day and on opposing teams the next day beating each other’s brains out.
